As the days get warmer and more humid, oily skin can look oilier, and dry skin can look rough and dehydrated. The strength of the sun’s rays can cause damage through sunburn and over exposure, and the heat can cause pores to open and get clogged with dirt and oil. Here are some tips to keep your skin looking its best over the summer months.
Tip #1 - Cleanse
Washing your face both morning and night doesn’t just make you feel refreshed, it has awesome skin benefits. In the morning, it removes residue, bacteria, and saliva, picked up from your pillow overnight. YUK! Washing at night not only clears off dirt, pollution, and the layer of oils and sweat built up throughout a normal day, but also removes any makeup you’ve applied. Leaving all that gunk on your face can lead to irritation, dullness, and breakouts, especially if you make it a habit.
These are a few of our favourite cleansers we think you’ll love.
Mild Creamy Cleanser, is a soft cleansing milk perfect for all skin types.
Luxury Oil Cleanser, is a cleansing oil with a special formula that effortlessly removes even the toughest of makeup.
Tri Phase Cleanser, this amazing formula transforms right before your eyes. It’s a gel when you squeeze it out, a rich oil when massaged into the skin, and a milk when you wash it off. Watch how it works here 😊
Tip #2 - Exfoliate
Exfoliation is the key to a brighter, more even skin tone. It’s effective at removing dead skin cells and clearing clogged pores. Be careful not to over exfoliate though, which can happen when we use scrubs that are too aggressive for our skin. Regardless of skin type, it’s better to opt for more gentle options. One of our favs is Skin Refining Enzyme Peel. It’s gentle, super easy to use and perfect for most skin types. Just cleanse, pop it on under your night cream, and go to bed. NOTE: If your skin is sensitive, always check with a skin expert before using any kind of exfoliation.
Tip #3 - Wear Sun Protection
Sometimes we can get a little lazy and think a quick visit to the shops means we don’t need to protect our skin, but it doesn’t matter how old you are, or what type of skin you have, there are no exceptions
So don’t forget to bring a cute hat, and cool sunnies, even if it is just to take a quick walk around the block to stretch your legs.

Tip #4 - Moisturise
Leaving moisturiser out of your daily routine could lead to deeper wrinkles, and a dry rough looking complexion. When skin gets too dry, it can become damaged, leading to sensitivity, and inflammation. Using a good moisturiser can help protect and strengthen the skins barrier, minimising the look of fine lines wrinkles, and helps the skin look firmer, smoother, and more radiant.
